Smart about safety, better on the job
Unsafe conditions not only put our staff and clients at risk, it can undermine an entire project. That’s why Borbas Surveying and Mapping, LLC takes every measure we can to provide a healthy and safe work environment for all of our officers, employees and clients.
We believe it is our obligation to ensure superior safety procedures and precautions are maintained and that no aspect of our activities takes precedence over health and safety. It’s our way of helping eliminate the possibility of work-related injuries and minimizing risks.
Maintaining a high level of safety means being thoroughly educated on health and safety compliance. We’ve contracted with Emilcott Associates to help us develop our company health and safety policy program. Emilcott also regularly conducts audits, inspections, training, and regular program updates to ensure we uphold the standard we have set for ourselves.
But it doesn’t end with education. Behavioral based safety attitudes are an integral part of our daily activities.
As part of our commitment to health and safety, our team participates in a broad range of training and certification programs:
- 40-hour OSHA HazWOPER
- OSHA 8-hour refresher training annually
- OSHA 8-hour site supervisor training
- Loss Prevention Systems (LPS) training (lifestyle attitudes of health and safety)
- Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED
- National Railroad Safety Procedures
- American Petroleum Institute
- Marine safety
- Defensive driving
- Confined space entry
