The Borbas team has expanded with focus on emerging technology

The surveying and mapping industry has been rapidly changing with the use of 3D technologies. These technologies can include anything from modeling software to photogrammetric cameras or Aerial LiDAR. POB Online which analyzes industry statistics, shows a 12% growth over the last year in Topographic 3D applications and 11% for construction reproductions. Borbas Surveying & Mapping has begun to capitalize on these new tools by hiring Dylan Grabinsky and Dave Hudak. Dylan has been interning with Borbas over the last year while attending school at NJIT. His work has become so important to the company’s success that they decided to invite Dylan to a full-time position upon graduation. Dylan looks to continue his interests with Drone technology to bring clients additional deliverables for further insights. The other newest member of the team is Dave Hudak who will refine Borbas’ existing aerial program to create photogrammetric models using 3D imagery processing software. Since attending the International LiDAR Mapping Forum in February, Dave has had a close eye on these emerging technologies and hopes to soon begin experimenting with Aerial LiDAR. Now that Borbas has expanded to four FAA certified drone pilots, they are poised to become one of the area’s most knowledgeable and precise surveying companies.
